Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Franco Fontana could be acquired at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Studio Art auction, the work Rimini changed hands for USD 255.00 (€ 238.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franco Fontana achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Piscina - 1984 in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 8,060.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Franco Fontana konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Studio Art wechselte die Arbeit Rimini für USD 255,00 (€ 238,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franco Fontana erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Piscina - 1984 im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.060,00.
