Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Il Ponte held the auction Fotografia, which included the work Paesaggio, South Dakota 1990 by Franco Fontana. The price achieved of EUR 1,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Franco Fontana have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Piscina - 1984 in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 8,060.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Fotografia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paesaggio, South Dakota 1990 von Franco Fontana zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.200,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Franco Fontana auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Piscina - 1984 im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.060,00.
