Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2021 Christies in Milan held the auction Mapping Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Paesaggio Sicilia by Franco Fontana. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 2,250.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franco Fontana - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Piscina - 1984, which sold at auction in December 2016 for EUR 8,060.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2021 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Mapping Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paesaggio Sicilia von Franco Fontana zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 2.250,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Franco Fontana mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Piscina - 1984 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2016 für EUR 8.060,00 versteigert wurde.
