Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Familia Indígena I; La Comida 2 by Francisco Zúñiga was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in January 2024. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,400.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,408.00 (€ 1,230.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Zúñiga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grupo de cuatro mujeres de pie in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 3,127,500.00 (€ 2,783,463.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Familia Indígena I; La Comida 2 von Francisco Zúñiga wurde im Januar 2024 in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.400,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.408,00 (€ 1.230,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco Zúñiga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grupo de cuatro mujeres de pie im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.127.500,00 (€ 2.783.463,87).
