It achieved a price of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 131,297.90), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francis Towne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lake Of Albano, Morning Sun Rising Over Rocca Del Papa, which sold at auction in July 2010 for GBP 289,250.00 (€ 347,790.53).

Für andere Arbeiten von Francis Towne mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lake Of Albano, Morning Sun Rising Over Rocca Del Papa beobachtet, die im Juli 2010 für GBP 289.250,00 (€ 347.790,53) versteigert wurde.
