Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2010 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work La Rue En Pente by Francis Smith. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 4,375.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scene Villageoise Au Portugal in February 2007 with an auction result of EUR 49,329.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2010 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Rue En Pente von Francis Smith zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 4.375,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Smith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scene Villageoise Au Portugal im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 49.329,00.
