Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Girls Dancing in a Landscape by Francis Luis Mora for USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,702.07). This price was achieved in the auction Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Luis Mora achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 57,600.00 (€ 42,815.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Girls Dancing in a Landscape von Francis Luis Mora für USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.702,07) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Luis Mora erzielen.
