Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Francis Bruguière could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Visionaries: Photographs from the Emily and Jerry Spiegel Collection auction, the work Cut Paper Abstraction, c. 1926 changed hands for USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,877.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francis Bruguière have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Experiment, From 'The Way', C. 1925 in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 123,750.00 (€ 93,977.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Francis Bruguière konnte im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Visionaries: Photographs from the Emily and Jerry Spiegel Collection wechselte die Arbeit Cut Paper Abstraction, c. 1926 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.877,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francis Bruguière auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Experiment, From 'The Way', C. 1925 im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 123.750,00 (€ 93.977,83).
