Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Coastal Sunset by Francis Augustus Silva for USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,277.55). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Augustus Silva achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunrise At Tappan Zee in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 2,658,500.00 (€ 1,909,979.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunrise At Tappan Zee im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.658.500,00 (€ 1.909.979,17).
