Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Francesco Zugno could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni auction, the work The Milliner changed hands for USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,079.44) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Zugno achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Laban looking for the idols hidden by Rachel; and The Finding of Moses in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 138,000.00 (€ 148,259.56).
