Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Saint Francis in Meditation by Francesco Zugno was sold in the Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Online auction at Christies in London in July last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,532.65). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Zugno achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Laban looking for the idols hidden by Rachel; and The Finding of Moses in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 138,000.00 (€ 148,259.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Saint Francis in Meditation von Francesco Zugno wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.532,65) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Zugno erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Laban looking for the idols hidden by Rachel; and The Finding of Moses im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.000,00 (€ 148.259,56).
