Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & Early British Paintings, which included the work The Adoration Of The Shepherds by Francesco Zugno. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,544.73), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Francesco Zugno have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Laban looking for the idols hidden by Rachel; and The Finding of Moses in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 138,000.00 (€ 148,259.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & Early British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Adoration Of The Shepherds von Francesco Zugno zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.544,73) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francesco Zugno auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Laban looking for the idols hidden by Rachel; and The Finding of Moses im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.000,00 (€ 148.259,56).
