The work Laban looking for the idols hidden by Rachel; and The Finding of Moses by Francesco Zugno was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings auction at Christies in New York in January 2001. The price achieved of USD 138,000.00 (€ 148,259.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Laban looking for the idols hidden by Rachel; and The Finding of Moses is the most expensive artwork by Francesco Zugno that we have observed at auctions so far.
