Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Amorous Sultan by Francesco Zugno was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. The price achieved of GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,841.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Zugno achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Laban looking for the idols hidden by Rachel; and The Finding of Moses in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 138,000.00 (€ 148,259.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Amorous Sultan von Francesco Zugno wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.841,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Zugno erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Laban looking for the idols hidden by Rachel; and The Finding of Moses im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.000,00 (€ 148.259,56).
