Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Space2, Providence, Rhode Island, 1976 by Francesca Woodman was worth EUR 20,000.00 to a buyer in June 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Photographies at Christies in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Francesca Woodman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Polka Dots in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 179,291.80).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Space2, Providence, Rhode Island, 1976 von Francesca Woodman war einem Käufer im Juni 2021 EUR 20.000,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Photographies bei Christies in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francesca Woodman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Polka Dots im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 179.291,80).
