Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Woman With A Horse) by Fouad Kamel was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 16,789.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Fouad Kamel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Egyptian untitled (The Drinker) in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 111,329.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Woman With A Horse) von Fouad Kamel kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 16.789,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fouad Kamel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Egyptian untitled (The Drinker) im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 111.329,74).
