Sold at the lower estimate price
In October 2014 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The Queen of Sheba in the 'Eastern Queen Pageant' at the Ypres Ball at the Royal Albert Hall, London, 1922 (illustrated); Harry Lauder in the Royal Command Performance at the Palace Theatre, London, 1912; and An exciting incident in the Chester Pagea by Fortunino Matania. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,276.86) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fortunino Matania achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Complete Set of Illustrations For The Tinker'S Wig in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 11,760.00 (€ 17,429.06).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Queen of Sheba in the 'Eastern Queen Pageant' at the Ypres Ball at the Royal Albert Hall, London, 1922 (illustrated); Harry Lauder in the Royal Command Performance at the Palace Theatre, London, 1912; and An exciting incident in the Chester Pagea von Fortunino Matania zur Versteigerung kam.
