Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, 1972 by Fong Chung-Ray was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in September 2021. The price achieved of USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,506.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fong Chung-Ray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work PAINTING 1984 - 26 in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 85,639.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled, 1972 von Fong Chung-Ray kam im September 2021 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.375,00 (€ 5.506,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fong Chung-Ray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit PAINTING 1984 - 26 im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 85.639,91).
