Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Painting 74 by Fong Chung-Ray was sold in the Eclectic auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in January last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 81,900.00 (€ 9,371.90). Admittedly, works by Fong Chung-Ray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work PAINTING 1984 - 26 in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 85,639.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Painting 74 von Fong Chung-Ray wurde im Januar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Eclectic bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 81.900,00 (€ 9.371,90) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fong Chung-Ray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit PAINTING 1984 - 26 im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 85.639,91).
