Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Florent Willems achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2009. In the Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction, the work The Rose Basket sold for USD 31,250.00 (€ 22,289.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Florent Willems; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Le départ pour la chasse au faucon sold at auction in January 2008 with the realized price of GBP 29,300.00 (€ 39,277.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Florent Willems erzielte im Juni 2009 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art wurde die Arbeit The Rose Basket für USD 31.250,00 (€ 22.289,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Florent Willems; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Le départ pour la chasse au faucon im Januar 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 29.300,00 (€ 39.277,91).
