Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 11,950.00 (€ 10,293.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Florent Willems - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le départ pour la chasse au faucon, which sold at auction in January 2008 for GBP 29,300.00 (€ 39,277.91).

Die Arbeit An Elegant Lady with her Dog in an Interior von Florent Willems wurde im Oktober 2003 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.950,00 (€ 10.293,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden.
