In August 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art Online, which included the work Untitled (The Mail Coach) by Florencio Molina Campos. The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,000.00 (€ 20,945.04), 39% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Florencio Molina Campos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Polo Player, which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 74,500.00 (€ 60,231.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im August 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (The Mail Coach) von Florencio Molina Campos zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 20.945,04) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Florencio Molina Campos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Polo Player beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für USD 74.500,00 (€ 60.231,22) versteigert wurde.
