Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Portrait of Sonia Delaunay, 1931 by Florence Henri. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,404.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Florence Henri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition (bobbins and mirrors), 1928, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 24,500.00 (€ 31,165.07).
