Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Bette Davis Eyes and Other Natural Phenomena: Photographs at No Reserve, which included the work Line Viala (Nude Study) by Florence Henri. The price achieved of USD 5,670.00 (€ 4,779.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Florence Henri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition (bobbins and mirrors), 1928 in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 24,500.00 (€ 31,165.07).

Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Bette Davis Eyes and Other Natural Phenomena: Photographs at No Reserve durch, in der auch die Arbeit Line Viala (Nude Study) von Florence Henri zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.670,00 (€ 4.779,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Florence Henri auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition (bobbins and mirrors), 1928 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.500,00 (€ 31.165,07).
