Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Flaminio Allegrini could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Scholars Eye: Property from the Julius Held Collection Part II auction, the work The Fall of the Rebel Angels (recto), The Martyrdom of Saint Catherine (verso) changed hands for USD 937.50 (€ 732.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Flaminio Allegrini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Our Lady of Loretto in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 2,820.00 (€ 4,559.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Flaminio Allegrini konnte im Januar 2009 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Scholars Eye: Property from the Julius Held Collection Part II wechselte die Arbeit The Fall of the Rebel Angels (recto), The Martyrdom of Saint Catherine (verso) für USD 937,50 (€ 732,19) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Flaminio Allegrini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Our Lady of Loretto im Juli 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.820,00 (€ 4.559,90).
