Despite a disappointment, a good price for Flaminio Allegrini
When the work Our Lady of Loretto by Flaminio Allegrini was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2000, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,820.00 (€ 4,559.90). Despite this disappointing result, Our Lady of Loretto is the most expensive artwork by Flaminio Allegrini that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Flaminio Allegrini
Als die Arbeit Our Lady of Loretto von Flaminio Allegrini im Juli 2000 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.820,00 (€ 4.559,90) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Our Lady of Loretto das teuerste Kunstwerk von Flaminio Allegrini, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
