Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Baptism of the Moor by Flaminio Allegrini was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,276.00 (€ 2,835.87). Other works by Flaminio Allegrini have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2000 by the work Our Lady of Loretto at GBP 2,820.00 (€ 4,559.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Baptism of the Moor von Flaminio Allegrini im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 3.276,00 (€ 2.835,87) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Flaminio Allegrini wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juli 2000 die Arbeit Our Lady of Loretto mit GBP 2.820,00 (€ 4.559,90).
