The work Australian Cross Purpose by Fiona Hall was sold in the Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. It achieved a price of AUD 4,200.00 (€ 2,511.50), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. With this result, Australian Cross Purpose is even the most expensive work of art by Fiona Hall that we have observed at auctions so far.
