It achieved a price of GBP 46,250.00 (€ 54,073.75), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ferraù Fenzoni - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Pool of Bethesda (recto); A subsidiary study of the lower right group and of the figure of Christ (verso), which sold at auction in January 2000 for USD 200,500.00 (€ 205,493.49).

Die Arbeit The Martyrdom of Saint Lawrence von Ferraù Fenzoni kam im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 46.250,00 (€ 54.073,75) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ferraù Fenzoni mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Pool of Bethesda (recto); A subsidiary study of the lower right group and of the figure of Christ (verso) beobachtet, die im Januar 2000 für USD 200.500,00 (€ 205.493,49) versteigert wurde.
