In October last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Robert William Burke, which included this untitled work by Fereydoun Ave. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,149.00 26% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fereydoun Ave - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rostam In Late Summer, which sold at auction in May 2006 for USD 10,200.00 (€ 7,948.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Robert William Burke durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Fereydoun Ave zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.149,00 und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Fereydoun Ave mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rostam In Late Summer beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für USD 10.200,00 (€ 7.948,26) versteigert wurde.
