Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ferdinand Burgdorff could be acquired at Bonhams in February this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer auction, the work Sunset-Mojave Desert changed hands for USD 765.00 (€ 721.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ferdinand Burgdorff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Covered Wagon in October 2003 with an auction result of USD 11,352.50 (€ 9,779.05).

In der Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer wechselte die Arbeit Sunset-Mojave Desert für USD 765,00 (€ 721,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Burgdorff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Covered Wagon im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.352,50 (€ 9.779,05).
