Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Desert Scene by Ferdinand Burgdorff was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,322.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Ferdinand Burgdorff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Covered Wagon in October 2003 with an auction result of USD 11,352.50 (€ 9,779.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Desert Scene von Ferdinand Burgdorff kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.402,50 (€ 1.322,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ferdinand Burgdorff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Covered Wagon im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.352,50 (€ 9.779,05).
