Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art, which included the work Natural Arch, thought to be Carmel Highlands by Ferdinand Burgdorff. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,075.00 (€ 5,089.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Ferdinand Burgdorff have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2003 the work The Covered Wagon was auctioned for USD 11,352.50 (€ 9,779.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Natural Arch, thought to be Carmel Highlands von Ferdinand Burgdorff zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.075,00 (€ 5.089,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Burgdorff konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2003 die Arbeit The Covered Wagon für USD 11.352,50 (€ 9.779,05) versteigert.
