Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Untitled (Billboard Project) by Félix González-Torres. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,077.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Félix González-Torres achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Untitled" (L.A.) in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 7,669,000.00 (€ 7,260,935.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Billboard Project) von Félix González-Torres zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.077,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Félix González-Torres erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Untitled" (L.A.) im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.669.000,00 (€ 7.260.935,43).
