Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Christies in New York held the auction The Kagan Collection, which included the work The Infant Moses Casting The Pharaoh’S Crown To The Ground by Felice Giani. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,859.52) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Felice Giani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The garden of the Villa Aldini at Montmorency, with a view of Paris in the distance, which sold at auction in July 2002 for GBP 35,850.00 (€ 57,182.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Kagan Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Infant Moses Casting The Pharaoh’S Crown To The Ground von Felice Giani zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 22.859,52) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Felice Giani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The garden of the Villa Aldini at Montmorency, with a view of Paris in the distance beobachtet, die im Juli 2002 für GBP 35.850,00 (€ 57.182,14) versteigert wurde.
