Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Triumph Of Cybele; The Triumph Of Bacchus by Felice Giani was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2020. The price achieved of EUR 23,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Felice Giani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The garden of the Villa Aldini at Montmorency, with a view of Paris in the distance, which sold at auction in July 2002 for GBP 35,850.00 (€ 57,182.14).
