Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work The Kiss of Judas by Felice Giani. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,250.68), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Felice Giani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The garden of the Villa Aldini at Montmorency, with a view of Paris in the distance in July 2002 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 57,182.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Kiss of Judas von Felice Giani zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.250,68) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Felice Giani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The garden of the Villa Aldini at Montmorency, with a view of Paris in the distance im Juli 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.850,00 (€ 57.182,14).
