Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View of Nisantasi with the Dolmabahçe Mosque, Constantinople by Fausto Zonaro was sold in the 19th Century European & Orientalist Art auction at Christies in London in June 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,624.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fausto Zonaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italian bayram (The Celebration) in April 2015 with an auction result of GBP 941,000.00 (€ 1,292,210.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit View of Nisantasi with the Dolmabahçe Mosque, Constantinople von Fausto Zonaro wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 17.624,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fausto Zonaro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Italian bayram (The Celebration) im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 941.000,00 (€ 1.292.210,00).
