Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fishermen by the Bosphorus, Scutari by Fausto Zonaro was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 62,381.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fausto Zonaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italian bayram (The Celebration) in April 2015 with an auction result of GBP 941,000.00 (€ 1,292,210.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fishermen by the Bosphorus, Scutari von Fausto Zonaro kam im Juli 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 62.381,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fausto Zonaro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Italian bayram (The Celebration) im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 941.000,00 (€ 1.292.210,00).
