Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hamam - il bagno by Fausto Zonaro was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 162,500.00 (€ 144,624.42). Admittedly, works by Fausto Zonaro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Italian bayram (The Celebration) in April 2015 with an auction result of GBP 941,000.00 (€ 1,292,210.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hamam - il bagno von Fausto Zonaro wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 162.500,00 (€ 144.624,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fausto Zonaro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Italian bayram (The Celebration) im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 941.000,00 (€ 1.292.210,00).
