Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Italian constantinople From The Bosphorus by Fausto Zonaro was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2017. The price achieved of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 77,368.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fausto Zonaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italian bayram (The Celebration) in April 2015 with an auction result of GBP 941,000.00 (€ 1,292,210.00).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 77.368,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fausto Zonaro erzielen.
