The work Italian la Bizantina by Fausto Zonaro was sold in the The Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in London in April 2017. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,687.93), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fausto Zonaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italian bayram (The Celebration) in April 2015 with an auction result of GBP 941,000.00 (€ 1,292,210.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Italian la Bizantina von Fausto Zonaro wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion The Orientalist Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.687,93) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fausto Zonaro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Italian bayram (The Celebration) im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 941.000,00 (€ 1.292.210,00).
