This artwork by Fausto Zonaro achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2015. In the 19th Century European & Orientalist Art auction, the work Pontile Di Salacak (Scutari) With Seraglio Point Beyond sold for GBP 122,500.00 (€ 166,349.11) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fausto Zonaro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Italian bayram (The Celebration) in April 2015 with an auction result of GBP 941,000.00 (€ 1,292,210.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fausto Zonaro erzielte im Dezember 2015 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art wurde die Arbeit Pontile Di Salacak (Scutari) With Seraglio Point Beyond für GBP 122.500,00 (€ 166.349,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fausto Zonaro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Italian bayram (The Celebration) im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 941.000,00 (€ 1.292.210,00).
