This artwork by Fausto Zonaro achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2013. In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work Italian the Aegean Coast sold for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 35,074.68) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fausto Zonaro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italian bayram (The Celebration) in April 2015 with an auction result of GBP 941,000.00 (€ 1,292,210.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fausto Zonaro erzielte im Mai 2013 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings wurde die Arbeit Italian the Aegean Coast für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 35.074,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fausto Zonaro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Italian bayram (The Celebration) im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 941.000,00 (€ 1.292.210,00).
