Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Fausto Melotti could be acquired at Christies in Paris in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the AVANT-GARDE(S) Including Thinking Italian auction, the work L'Arcobaleno In Casa changed hands for EUR 170,000.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fausto Melotti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Pioggia, which sold at auction in October 2017 for GBP 548,750.00 (€ 625,682.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fausto Melotti konnte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion AVANT-GARDE(S) Including Thinking Italian wechselte die Arbeit L'Arcobaleno In Casa für EUR 170.000,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fausto Melotti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Pioggia beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für GBP 548.750,00 (€ 625.682,41) versteigert wurde.
