Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Fang Xiang achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2014. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Scenery of Backyard sold for HKD 161,000.00 (€ 14,974.04) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fang Xiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Garden in April this year with an auction result of HKD 114,000.00 (€ 116,416.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fang Xiang erzielte im April 2014 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Scenery of Backyard für HKD 161.000,00 (€ 14.974,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fang Xiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Garden im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 114.000,00 (€ 116.416,30).
