Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Backyard In Autumn by Fang Xiang. The price achieved of HKD 172,500.00 (€ 17,759.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 140,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fang Xiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Garden in April this year with an auction result of HKD 114,000.00 (€ 116,416.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2014 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas durch, in der auch die Arbeit Backyard In Autumn von Fang Xiang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 172.500,00 (€ 17.759,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 140.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fang Xiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Garden im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 114.000,00 (€ 116.416,30).
