This artwork by Fang Xiang achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2014. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Morning sold for HKD 264,500.00 (€ 24,600.22) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fang Xiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Garden in April this year with an auction result of HKD 114,000.00 (€ 116,416.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fang Xiang erzielte im April 2014 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Morning für HKD 264.500,00 (€ 24.600,22) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fang Xiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Garden im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 114.000,00 (€ 116.416,30).
