Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Weeping Willow And Sparrow by Fang Chuxiong was sold in the Collections of paintings preserved by overseas collectors IV auction at POLY in January 2024. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 36,000.00 (€ 5,531.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Fang Chuxiong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cat in April this year with an auction result of HKD 42,000.00 (€ 42,890.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Weeping Willow And Sparrow von Fang Chuxiong wurde im Januar 2024 in der Auktion Collections of paintings preserved by overseas collectors IV bei POLY versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 36.000,00 (€ 5.531,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fang Chuxiong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cat im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 42.000,00 (€ 42.890,22).
