A top price for Fang Chuxiong - as previously expected
The work Cat by Fang Chuxiong was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April this year. The price achieved of HKD 42,000.00 (€ 42,890.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cat is the most expensive artwork by Fang Chuxiong that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Cat von Fang Chuxiong wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 42.000,00 (€ 42.890,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Cat das teuerste Kunstwerk von Fang Chuxiong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
